Sim2 Introduce Crystal 4 SH 4K Laser Projector

We're proud to announce that Sim2 has introduced a new model in the Laser Projector sector, the Crystal 4 SH. Bringing high levels of brightness, extremely accurate colorimetry and extra large 4K DMD chip, the Crystal 4 SH brings the extremely high performance levels we have come to expect from Sim2 to the world of laser projection.

While laser projectors offer a number of key advantages over conventionally lit projectors, the Crystal 4 SH has a distinct advantage over other laser models. Where many viewers have noticed a slight yellow or green hue to laser illuminated images the Crystal 4 SH offers a new 'Super Hybrid' light source that corrects this issue and delivers a perfect white point. It also features a colour space that exceeds 80% of the DCI specification for commercial projectors.

In addition to its superior light source the Crystal 4 SH features not one but two colour wheels. The first features new green and yellow phosphors that deliver stable colours over time and the second purifies the colours.

HDR Processing

having worked on HDR technology for over 13 years it will come as no surprise that the Crystal 4SH features superb HDR processing, in fact it uses the very same technology as the NERO 4S model which is widly regarded as the reference point for HDR processing in projection.

Greater DMD Chip Area

As any good photographer will tell you, it's not just the number of pixels that's important, it's their physical size. A larger physical pixel brings better noise performance and better uniformity.

The Crystal 4 SH is built around a 0.67" DMD chip as opposed to the 0.47" unit used by many competitors. This is the same chip as it's big brother the Nero4S ensuring amazing performance, even in very dark scenes.

High on Performance - Low on Noise

To ensure the very best audio experience for every listener in the room Sim2 have constructed the Crystal 4SH case work from 7mm Crystal glass and arranged ventilation such that no noise at all from the top, back or front of the unit. The result of all this clever thinking is that the Crystal 4 SH is one of the quietest projectors on the market.

While the Crystal glass casework overs great noise level advangtages it also lends the unit a highly luxurious look, far removed from the plastic casework used elsewhere.
